  INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
organized by the Société d'Encouragement

The first International Conference of Horseracing Authorities was organized and hosted by the Société d'Encouragement in Paris (11 rue du Cirque), France, on 9th October 1967.

14 delegates representing 9 countries attended : Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, USA and USSR.


Mr Jean ROMANET chaired the 27 Annual Conferences hosted between 1967 and 1993 by the French Racing Authority at the time of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

About 110 delegates representing 50 countries attended the 27th Conference held on 4th October 1993.


Since 1994, the Annual Conference is organized by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities at France Galop (46 place Abel Gance, 92100 Boulogne, France) and chaired by the Chairman of the Federation, Mr Louis ROMANET.
